Björk fait sa rentrée à Londres par le biais d’un avatar en 3D. Depuis l’Institut technologique de Reykjavík, elle a donné une conférence de presse afin de dévoiler les contours de l’exposition Björk Digital qui se tient à la Somerset House du 1er septembre au 23 octobre.
« Cette nouvelle exposition présente l’univers visuel qu’elle est en train de créer, avant tout au travers de vidéos de réalité virtuelle à 360 degrés, pour accompagner Vulnicura, son album le plus brut et chargé d’émotions jusqu’à présent », décrit The Guardian.

Avant-première de Quicksand VR
Vulnicura VR se voit compléter d’une nouvelle vidéo avec la projection de Quicksand. La vidéo, tournée en juin dernier au Miraikan de Tokyo, sera diffusée en avant-première.
Q : I read an interview when you said Vulnicura is a representation of hell, and also that you work on your next album which is more of the utopia, so here in somerset house with celebrating 500 years since Thomas More published Utopia in 1516 and I’m wondering obviously you can’t talk about your new work but what’s your idea of utopia ?
Björk : I think that the goths, the pessimists and the dark ones they have a determined idea of what the world is and they have a point, it does sucks occasionally but I think that eventually after few years or in even decades they proove their point by actually attract lot of dark stuff and surrounding themselves with a lot of black mud, in every sense of the words, I think that the utopist, and I’m simplifying a lot, by creating Utopia and a determined world full of lights, I think that they just have as much of a point, you know, and i think neither of them are right or wrong, It’s both are equally right, but i think there is a little bit more chance if you focus on the light and after a while when the seeds you’ve sown have become plants that you might be surrounded by fertility and light. Obviously you’ll have like a really touchy fucked up moments and touchy days but overall also just in case our children and descendants, I think It’s important to be determined on the light...
